WEBLiberator™ now provides SPAM ASSASIN™ software for
each individual mailbox hosted by WEBLiberator.com. SPAM Assassin is installed on the mail servers used by WEBLiberator.com, no software is installed on your computer.

The software can be enabled or disabled, and preferences set for each individual mailbox. Each mail box user can control their own preferences and may choose to enable it, or disable it at any time.

SPAM Assassin uses a variety of tactics to determine the likelihood that you would consider the email as unwanted SPAM. No SPAM software can be perfect. Depending on your preference settings, more SPAM may get through, or a few non SPAM messages may get tagged as SPAM. Each mail box user can adjust the settings for their needs.

You can adjust your settings by following these instructions.

  1. Enter the URL http://mail.yourdomain.com, with "yourdomain.com" representing your personal domain name and extension.
  2. Choose the SPAM Assassin Link
  3. Enter your full email address for the email user. For example , sample@campaigntech.com.
  4. Enter your email password.
  5. If you have not enabled Spam Assassin you will see a link to enable it.
  6. Make your preference selections and click on submit at the bottom of the page.

Recommendations on Preferences:

Look at the sample of the preference screen with our recommendations.
You will see the following preferences are selected.

  • Filter Mode
  • Include Report in the header
  • Tag the subject line with the word [SPAM]
  • Required points 6.0 (you may wish to try a lower setting such as 5.0. This will
    allow more SPAM through, but reduces the chance for making legitimate email as SPAM.)
  • Click all 3 boxes under "Headers"
  • Select the languages in which you recieve mail, the rest will be considered SPAM.
  • Follow directions to add special rules.

In the sample we have shown adding all sub domains of american express.com as an added rule.
